Sanskrit is a language that flows from time immemorial; it originates in natural sounds and finds its way in many spoken languages Today.
This book presents the traditional Dhatupatha of Panini, the Roots of the Sanskrit Language, in Devanagari script, with a measure of Elucidation.
It contains all the 1943 Sanskrit Dhatus in correct Panini order. It also contains versions of some Dhatus appearing in standard Dhatupathas, so that the total count of Dhatus listed is 2056. For each Dhatu, it includes Accents (Dhatu Svara), iii/1 Verb Rupa, and English Meaning. It also gives Ashtadhyayi Sutra Reference for Dhatus that are difficult to conjugate.
A complete Alphabetical Index is supplied that is pleasingly formatted to locate any Dhatu easily. It is formatted two ways, one as a standard index and the other as an index on the original dhatus containing tag letters.
Thus it adequately serves the needs of Libraries, University faculty members and serious Scholars. For the students in a gurukul system, a section on learning the chanting of the Dhatupatha is additionally provided.
Panini was a linguist, grammarian, programmer, sage and visionary, who lived circa 600 BC. His work on Sanskrit Grammar rivals the best computer software and apps available today, and is being recognised as the most complete and practical textbook in this regard.
